last trip to tulsa 2

hey, who has my vinyl!!

sunday morning coming down

and this how i feel this morning!

more lennie

the unknown girl in the middle of this photo seemed to know all of the songs, all the words and all of the fascial expressions needed to fully enjoy the LC experience!! the lady in the hat looks like she's into it as well, but deeper.....!!

the pedal steel guitarist looked like he had just arrived from his day job as an accountant in the city.....!

big lennie!!

well, the Leonard Cohen concert proved to be all it was promised to be. a religious experience, at least for some, but three hours of beautifully rendered classics with, as you would expect, a fantastic band of musicians and backup singers. and just when you thought it might getting a bit dour, a cracking version of "if it be your will" performed by the webb sisters (part of the backup vocals trio). the saxophone and spanish guitar were standouts in this line-up, and LC just kept on going with wit and passion and cheerfulness. not an unhappy person in the audience, that i noticed, at least.

all ably supported by augie marsh and paul kelly.
