Heide I, II, III
These photos are of Heide III, visited a few weeks ago in the raging heat affecting Victoria, just a few days before the horrendous fires. A really wonderful history and experience. Must get back to spend some time in the gardens. See here for access to stories and photos on Heide I,II & III

stop it or you'll go blind
this carbuncle, adjacent to the curtain walled entry, defies me. I am guessing it houses a lecture theatre, and is a gesture to the little expressionist building elsewhere on campus, or a really bad homage to FOG ( he sure has a lot to answer for!!) it certainly f***s up an otherwise nicely proportioned entrance.

more lennie
big lennie!!
well, the Leonard Cohen concert proved to be all it was promised to be. a religious experience, at least for some, but three hours of beautifully rendered classics with, as you would expect, a fantastic band of musicians and backup singers. and just when you thought it might getting a bit dour, a cracking version of "if it be your will" performed by the webb sisters (part of the backup vocals trio). the saxophone and spanish guitar were standouts in this line-up, and LC just kept on going with wit and passion and cheerfulness. not an unhappy person in the audience, that i noticed, at least.
all ably supported by augie marsh and paul kelly.
