garden update

lost a few over winter, either to the bunnies, or natural causes. now need to get on get the weeds under control and prepare beds 3 & 4 for planting . lots of new ideas after our recent garden tour in the UK, moving the scale up a little(!) to incorporate the whole property out to the western boundary.

avoiding the obvious 5

avoiding the obvious 4

avoiding the obvious 3

avoiding the obvious 2

avoiding the obvious 1

these photos are largely as they came out of the camera. some have been cropped to tidy the edges, some [only a few] have been straightened. others [probably only too obvious] have been tweaked. no photoshop, just iphoto and quick.

they are a selection of pictures taken along the way during our recent jaunt through the english and scottish countryside. most of the body of photographs taken were either holiday snaps or recording our visits to some memorable gardens and sculpture parks [some more of that later]

most of these photos were taken with the M8. getting used to single focal length [~38mm] and manual focus required some relearning. the camera lives up to its reputation, i think, and i am looking forward to many more outings. being on holiday 'en famille' means that it is not always easy to get the space and time to simply find the subject, so most of these images are a spontaneous take on a glancing visual moment.
